Mid March Madness

Hello Reader,

Mid March Madness

March 15. Already. I can’t believe how fast this month is going. Only two more days to find Herbert and claim your 40% on the fabric he is showcasing. And the end of our Tweed creative contest is almost here (read more below).

I have had such fun designing quilts for customers this past two weeks. It is one of my favourite things to do. This newsletter also gives me a chance to present another of my earlier patterns in my Easy Two colour pattern series.

Did you know that there is an awesome coupon available for use in our store right now? Check out The Alberta Country Register for your chance to get 40% off your purchase. (physical coupon required)

“What do you call a gathering of quilters? A block party. ”
(found online)

Do you have a favourite story, joke or quilting experience? We would love to share them with the community, just drop us a line! (you may remain anonymous if you prefer)

Herbert is back!

We are now looking forward to St. Patrick’s Day. Herbert, our resident Leprechaun, is back and has a special deal for you! He loves to hide on us, so this year we have persuaded him to at least choose special groupings of fabric to hide among. Anyone who finds him, can purchase the fabric he is showcasing for 40% off the ticketed price!

He is also a pretty active guy, so check the store frequently for his new hiding place!

He will only be hiding until the end of March 17, so hurry in to find out today's deal!

Bedazzle Quilt update

We had a very successful Bedazzle class this month with students telling me it was a fun day. Because we sold out of the fabric the pattern was designed for, we had a student join us with a different fabric, proving that the pattern is versatile enough to accommodate many other fabrics as well, as long as there is a definite repeat and enough fabric to create the octagons which form the basis of the design. If you are interested, we could repeat this class in April. Contact us to let us know you are interested!

Our contest deadline is almost here!

Contest time! There are some new, unique fabrics just in at the store. What would you make with with them? We know you have creative ideas and would love to see what you can come up with! Click here for more details on the contest. Prizes for participation, AND for creativity.

We will announce the winner in the next issue. We are pleased to say we have had some exciting suggestions and patterns sent our way.

Hurry and get your ideas in- the contest deadline is March 17!

Hello Reader, Welcome to August I can’t believe it. It’s August already. July is in the past and what a tumultuous month it was. For us it began with a hail storm on July 1 st which wiped out many of our fields and damaged almost everything else including our house, our buildings and our trees. But it did put an end to the drought. We have had several rains since then, providing moisture to help the crops that are left to grow. And giving us some hope that our water reserves will be renewed....
